just did some googling. it's possible that the mysterious kidney pain / metallic taste i've been having for, oh, about the last year and a half might not actually be related to the interstitial cystitis.
apparently, aloe vera juice - which all of my doctors, including the gi, have told me is good for my gerd - can cause kidney damage if used long term.
