so, can we all agree that columbus day is, like, the most useless holiday ever?
most people still have to go to work, so it's only the government monkeys who see any benefits. and not only does it glorify the man who many people feel is responsible for initiating a genocide, but - MUCH more importantly - it screws up the postal system with its extra day off, which means i NEVER get my birthday cards on time.
i need to go into town and do stuff, but i can't because i have to go to the bank first, and guess what? CLOSED. come to think of it, a lot of the places i need to go probably are too. there's stuff i have to do around the apartment but my head hurts and i don't wanna.
