why, you ask? let me count the ways...
1. he sings my favorite-ever uogb song with his soft lovely singing voice...even if he seems physically incapable of ever getting the words to the second chorus right. bless.
2. he can actually play the ukulele, and not just the bass guitar "uke" (i did wonder).
3. he's satisfyingly articulate on the appeal of the band and the ukulele in general. even though he did leave syd barrett and john lennon out of the list of famous closeted ukulele players.
4. we are in complete agreement about modern jazz. naughty boy! also, i demand proof of the leotards. pictures or it didn't happen, dude. also also, it's a damn good thing i don't do the whole rps thing, because if i did...him and peter? seriously. i mean, just look at how easily he makes him laugh, and how easily he got him to play on his solo project...just sayin'.
5. he totally rocks a ponytail.
6. ...AND a smokin' hawt electric ukulele solo. play that ukulele, white boy!
and last, but certainly not least...
7. he has a very, very talented mouth. and yes, that shy smile makes me need to lick his face.
all i can say is, thank god he hasn't got a northern accent, or else i'd be totally doomed. though i do have to wonder if he's from portsmouth...he sounds so much like neil gaiman when he speaks it's a little unsettling.
EDIT: he also seems to have inspired possibly the strangest, most wtf? question in the history of wikianswers. and before you ask, no, it wasn't me who posted it.
