not too hellish. yet. my nobly sacrificed sheets did indeed keep some of the worst heat/light out of the front room, so, result there. drank half a gallon of peach iced tea...i'm going to have to pace myself if i want to last this out. managed not to eat any frozen blueberries as they give me brain freeze. went out and got some bell peppers for chilling and snacking, then cooked some salmon patties to eat cold later before it got too hot in the kitchen.
on the hopeful side, it cooled down fairly quickly after dark (by about 10pm), with both fans blasting in front of the windows and the front door open...however. this latter, as you may imagine, creates rather more problems than it solves; namely that a) someone might come upstairs and murder me unawares, and b) it lets all the damn bugs in - just as i was writing my last journal entry, i had a FREAKING GINORMOUS
mosquito hawk attack my monitor...good times. chased it back outside with a broom. at least i hope i did. *doesn't want it to eet me in my sleep*
so, first day: not too bad. still feeling woozy and achey and lightheaded, but i've been feeling that way all week, so oh well.
it was 92 degrees today. by wednesday it's forecast for 103.
