just finished watching make 'em laugh, the pbs miniseries about comedy in america. tonight's episode: 'groundbreakers: when i'm bad i'm better'. it was supposed to be about the 'rebel' comedians who pushed the envelope and often got arrested or persecuted for their comedy. throughout the course of the hour, they covered mae west, moms mabley, the smothers brothers, lenny bruce, george carlin, richard pryor...
...and NOT bill hicks. not even a mention.
