I identified with Hazel to the extent that I had that name on my schooldesk instead of my own at age 11.

interesting...according to robert graves' celtic tree calendar, hazel is the ruling tree of the month you were born in...ie, the tree of the 'nut'. ;)

me, i'm ivy: clingy, loopy, tenacious, and damn near impossible to get rid of. :)
