rec pls
so i'm finally reading the vampire lestat, and only a few pages in, i'm already enjoying it a lot more than i did interview with a vampire, by a considerable order of magnitude. so now i'm pondering the other books in the series, and i thought i'd ask my f'list for recs.
as far as personal taste goes, i prefer the slashier stories (yes, i know this will come as a great shock to you all), and thoroughly agree with lestat that louis was an incurable whiner. the vampire armand and blood and gold look good for the slash, but some of the others look dubious at best (lestat switches bodies with a human wtf???) and others look downright fanficcy (merrick and blood canticle reek of mary sueness from their summaries alone).
can i afford to skip a few titles? or do i absolutely have to read them all in order for each following book to make sense? speak to me, o wise and worldly f'list.
