clogged head and creepy dreams
blah. have yet another sinus kerfuffle that's making me utterly wiped out and dizzy. also more gallbladder pains. the two could be related.
anyway, with all the ick it's a miracle i slept at all, but i managed to have the first game-related dream i can remember, and unfortunately it was kind of creepy.
in the dream, harley-boy had been kidnapped when he was little and was just now being returned to kevin and blythe and carlisle as a young teenager. for some reason he'd had a different family when he was little, and was the youngest of five brothers. i kept viewing and re-viewing the scene where he was taken, trying to investigate it like a detective, because no one ever saw who took him. his mum turned her back for like two seconds and he was gone. she was shooing him and his brothers out the door to go play or something, and it looked like oklahoma on a summer nighttime. they all went out the door and then his brothers came back in without him.
anyway, within the game, i was worried that i was playing his return too peaches-and-cream, and that him being at least a little surly and unhappy would be more realistic and truthful.
i only have a vague idea what might have inspired this...lately i've being seeing the trailer for the movie changeling quite a bit, which looks both fascinating and creepy as hell. i also saw a news story about a boy who was killed by a distracted driver, and the pictures they showed of him were what little harley looked like in the 'flashbacks' (ie, dark hair and eyes). the dream also had something of the steven staynor case about it, or the shawn hornbeck case, which was the unsettling part.
anyway. *takes the mental floss and washes the dream out of my psyche, and relishes the real version where's he's happy as a clam being an art student and eventually a universally renowned artist*
