So we have a friend who has never read fanfic and wants to. so I need good first time recs. she likes Merlin. And in that, Arthur and the rest of the round table. and is willing to try slash.

Not necessarily my cuppa, but then my taste runs towards the darker in general.

And there is12steps2camelot which might be a not bad place to start. Personally, I'd say that the first link likely has more of the cute, fluffy stuff and the second more of the 'once you're done with that, read this'.

Thanks hon! That works great, given we're just introing her to fanfic I think the more fluffy are better to start with, but i know who to come to if she wants darker ;)

veronamay has written a delightful and engaging Merlin fic; it's Arthur/Merlin but the sex is done with a very light touch rather than being out-and-out filth. Good for a first-time slasher, I would think!
