This is wonderful. I loved the deliberate absence of gender in the bright young things Jack bedded in the 20s. I liked what you did with the war; I think it worked very well. The image of the coffee solidifying at the end of that section was particularly poignant.
And I don't really need to tell you that I liked the last bit, do I? ;)

I especially wanted to emphasize Jack's love of anything pretty - and pretty in his terms, not anyone elses.

I wanted to explore that coffee aspect, even though i'm sure it's been done before. Because even though Ianto supposedly makes the best coffee, Jack was around for a *lot* longer, he would have needed to make his own during those years, or at least get it other places.
