I'm sorry for my absence but this time I'm back with good news: As of tonight we have officially been invited to serve in MadagascarIt's been such a long freaking time for us to learn this information but especially for me since I'm so impatient. It totally is worth it though! I have so much material to pore over in the next few days and zero time

Part of me wants to do Peace Corp but I know David would never go along with it. Now we're looking into getting work visas for Australia.

One caveat is that you must be married before you can serve as a couple. I don't know if that's what your end-goal with David will be but if it is, it's definitely better to serve with your spouse, from what I know!

Just drug him and fill out all his apps. Once you're in, maybe he'll be a bit more excited hehehe.

Australia? I hear you can definitely get the visas easily there. Will you guys be teaching or what? When are you looking to go? I've always wanted to go to Australia! :(

What I'm thinking now is aiming for a permanent residency visa and taking it from there. That way my visa isn't tied to my employment (sound like a familiar scenario ^_~) and I can have more freedom in what I do when I get there.

I'm actually hoping to get some sort of international affairs position. I'm currently researching jobs.

Yeah, I think it'll be cool to live there for a few years. I don't think I want to live there permanently, but I'd like the freedom a permanent residency visa would provide if that makes sense.

I have a friend from Perth who's helping me out with all the paperwork which is awesome because the paperwork is ENDLESS. This thing is going to take me months to prepare! Then once I get the visa I'll start applying for jobs.
