The Dance of Dream
Prologue
Hi! My name is Jung Yuri. I’m turning 17 this year. I am a dancer and I love to dance very much. My brother, Jung Yunho, and I, owned a dance studio, named ‘Dream Studio’. We also open a little dance school for our neighbors’ kids. We had about 15 kids to teach. It was nice to teach them, reminded me when I was a kid.
Dream Studio was formed by our parents. They were dancers as well and they were teachers before they formed Dream Studio. But they passed away in a car accident 5 years before, leaving me and Yunho with Dream Studio to take care of. A lot of people wanted us to close the Dream Studio, since both of us still so young (I was 12 and Yunho was 17) but Yunho said that he would continue the studio together with me. He said that he would find a way to keep the studio run and continue his study. We were scholarship students at the best dance school in Seoul, Seoul Dance Academy. But somehow, I don’t know why, Yunho’s graduation dance wasn’t approved by the school principal. So Yunho left the school and concentrating to Dream Studio. I’m a teacher of Dream Studio too, and I’m still studying in that school. Yunho told me to continue and finished my study, so I did as he said (I’m kinda afraid of Oppa, he’s a straight man ^^).
To run the Dream Studio, with Yunho and me as the choreographers, we were helped by some friends. They were our appa and umma’s students, namely Kim Junsu, Shim Changmin, Song Hyeyeon and Soo Eunyoung. Kim Junsu is our music director. He is a dancer too, but he’s more interested in mixing music, so Yunho asked him to become our music director. Shim Changmin is their assistant. He’s a great dancer (he sometimes became my dance partner in our show, instead of Yunho Oppa) and his hearing were so sensitive to music (that’s his gift) so he helped Junsu as well. Song Hyeyeon and Soo Eunyoung were our dancers. Four of them came from different dance school from me and Yunho’s school. But all of them learned dancing from my parents too. This bond made them willingly helped our Dream Studio. Every four months, Dream Studio held a performance. The performers were our students and us. All the parents of our students used to watch our show. Mostly they were happy with this regular program, so they kept supporting Dream Studio.
