happiest
so much has been goin on that I haven't had time to go online. That and I'm absolutely done with my vaio. After practically fighting with sony for like 6 months i've decided to forego the whole attempt of reviving my luv and will buy a new one. I know i said i was gonna buy it before, but i just had a softspot for my cutie. it's time I get a new cute one, i'm looking at getting the small ibook 'cuz everyone tells me it's better, and i fell in love with pauline's, but i just can't do MAC. i feel like i'm betraying my vaio. we'll see.
Omar has basically moved in to my house. 2 nights ago he switched his whole widescreen/surround system with my junky setup so he can play Halo2 at my house. We were playing it last weekend on my small tv split screen and i found myself slouching after an hour. O has hookups with so much stuff! good stuff, dvds, games... sheesh.. only our halo2 is in french!
Halloween
So cute! my princess poochie was a fairy princess! she went trick-or-treating with christian the spider-man. she had wings and all! i did a ghetto glamour photo shoot with her and her pics came out so cute, guess i should post them eh? she went trick or treating for change so i could go buy her doggie treats, which only semi-worked. Omar's bday celebration with MannyLo was that weekend too at El Flamingo's on friday. T&I drank a lil' too much that I felt so sick! poor Omar had to cut his night short 'cuz of me! Nevertheless, his friends came out & I had a good time. I even ate from those street carts to try and relieve my stomach pain for the first time. I despise those tho, i tell O they're "HepB carts" and forbid him from buying from them. turns out the smell is better than they taste, so i'll never do it again =D
Omar's 25th on October 25th
O spend his bday week with me :) I tried to spoil him best i could. Bought him this amazing homedics chair back massager that i swear by, his favorite cologne and a diamond earring :) Hm, ate at our Indian food restaurant and tried to celebrate every nite. Rose's bday was the 18th, celebrated at her party at 24/7 and then super ate at Greenfields. My mamma's bday was on the 7th :)
Hunting
On a desperate attempt to brave the great outdoors, we took an outdoor trip to our upstate timeshare at our resort. O was so cute, he was trying to bond with my dad and autumn-ness. it was liked coupled out, only my daddy was there. I have cute pics, of omar in his hunting gear and rifle, my family on a mountain top. I in a cowboy hat LOL. I even paid for a whole year of freshwater fishing ('cuz apparently you need a license) but didn't get to use it due to the fact that it's like 15 degrees colder upstate! BRR, and wet! So, being the doof that I am, i stayed indoors cooking manly breakfasts enjoying the fireplace and autumn view. I was in the mood for homestyle pumpkin pie, drove forever looking for it, ended up making my own 4 pies from scratch :) my achievement. Poor hunters tho, they didn't get to shoot anything. tried apparently for this turkey but didn't get it. OH well, i think Omar is going back up with my daddy this week.
Smaro's Bridal Shower
Well plans for smaro's wedding are coming up fast. Just bought the chrome dress shoes and my poor red Vera Wang dress is still unaltered. When i stand on a two foot stool, my train still touches the floor. Her bridal shower at Primo Amore was cute, girly, i love being part of the bridal party. I had the cheesy job of the bow-ed out hat. With her wedding only 4 weeks away, i've given up hope of losing weight in time LOL. The bachelorette party is scheduled for thanksgiving weekend only because we're waiting for her other 'maids to come from greece and so.carolina. She's living the life rite now, getting her house in bayside ready to move into after the wedding, i'm so happy for her!
Employment
funny how things work out. Queens hospital is still just blah... St. Francis Heart Center is giving me part-time in the Dept of Medicine. Part-time just doesn't cut it with me. I know i've been picky turning places down and I know Omar thinks i was a dingobat for turning down the full time Rheumatology position. And i got an offer to be the only PA at the Margaret Tietz center but i turned that down long time ago 'cuz it didnt' seem rite. So what am i looking into now? looks like i'm goin to be taking that Central Park West one. Upper west side office (yes i get an office) solo internal medicine practice. I was iffey about the commute, but looks like i'm gonna take the city job. It's been taking forever between ordering salary profiles, checking out my malpractice insurance premiums, DEA numbers, discussing my fringe benefits. I told him the terms of my contract & i hope that it all works out. I'll be the only PA there, the 1st, so he's new to all this paperwork. The hours are great and the fact that it's full time and i get my own office with examination table is great. Can't wait for all the perks now! Negotiating terms of employment hasn't always been my specialty, tha's why it's been a slow process altogether with me. That and i've been enjoying my time off, listening to people who say to take some time off post-graduation. Hopefully, if there's time during my office hours, i get to work on my master's, crossing fingers that the city doctor gives me an edge into nyu (if i can afford it rite now LOL) 'cuz he teaches at the med school there. *sigh* pray for me that this works thru, i'll know by monday 'cuz he's on vacation.
Long entry as I have plenty of downtime rite now. soon tha'll change, which means no more bummy time for me. reading has kept me busy, as well as video games (beat fable) and now it's just spending long days/nights with Omar until things get hectic. Still as happy as ever, keeping as busy as I can, thankful for all of God's blessings... life's been great.
PS, today is our 14th month Anniv.
