I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried...
So I went for a loooong walk downtown and to WCU's campus today. It was so nice out, and I had some errands to run around town, so I decided to do them on foot. And on knee, apparently, as I fell and scraped a hole in my pants--I thought you were supposed to outgrow antics like that in elementary school? Anyways, it was a lovely stroll, but I had to share some of the signs that are now gracing WCU's academic area. They are apparently trying to let new little grass grow, so the lawn was roped off with cheerful little signs having off with colorful clip art to go with the following inspiring messages:
"Please help our quad build up its bod."
"Let our sod grow on the quad."
"We're new at WCU--help us grow."
And, my personal favorite:
"Expect excellence--let us measure up."
Wow. All this for a pretty green lawn. Regardless, it was pretty funny. I started giggling...and then I started getting odd looks. ;)
