I'm an idiot.
I just got back from a trip to the clinic where they were giving out free hearing tests for the holidays. Fun stuff huh?
Well, they told me that I pretty much suck at hearing in my left ear. Which is not new to me.
But they also told me the reason. Which IS new to me.
Apparently I had a perforated ear drum. Which just means that I damaged my ear drum somehow (over q-tipping). But that over time, since I'm retarded and didn't know it happened (since my ears ALWAYS hurt from TMJ), and I didn't get it looked at and fixed, that it healed improperly. And so it's MY fault I can't hear. And there's absolutely nothing I can do to fix it except for getting a hearing aid (which they tried to sell me). And I absolutely refuse to do that. I'm only 22 years old! I can't go around with a hearing aid!
So moral is: BE CAREFUL WITH THE Q-TIPS!
