It really IS christmas! Erin's home, and a full disc of 24 has been viewed. Also, my auntie and uncle wally dropped off the annual box of home-made toffee (which I can't eat any of this year! Stupid nut allergy), along with a bucket of home-made pink popcorn for my mom. Tonight, I'm going to talk my family of scrooges into a drive down christmas tree lane, and maybe I'll bake up some cookies for santa (and of course I don't really believe in santa, which gives me licensce to eat all of them myself).
Also, I have that warm fuzzy feeling that comes from helping others. And actually this has nothing to do with christmas, but it certainly is adding to my holiday spirit. I have a new personal policy, that any money that I make from funerals (singing etc.), I will donate to charity. And I made my first donation today! I sang at a funeral a few months back and have been trying to decide which charity to donate the money to. And I finally discovered one that I feel passionate about! I donated it all to the Music Lives Foundation, which helps provide musical instruments to public schools and kids in need. Since I have been involved in many different music programs through school (orchestra, choir, and whatnot), since the first grade, it is something that I feel strongly about, and feel good giving my money to. So I'm warm and fuzzy.
Merry Christmas everyone! And Happy Hanukkah, Kwanza, Festivus, and all the rest!
