That was the weirdest phone call of my life.
Some lady called and wanted to know if there was a Joe or Jove Schaap in my family because her dad wanted to reconnect with an old pal.
I was like "no, but Ill ask my mom later in case I am forgetting about someone"
Then she tells me all about her dad's relationship with this mr. Schaap, and how this Jove Schaap drew racist comics as a hobby. And then she told me all about her favorite comic, and it was incredibly offensive. How offensive? Let me quote a line: "Yes suh I black."
She finished off her story with "Wait, you're not black are you?"
And what was weirdest was that she was clearly totally interested in me. She even gave me her number.
