Bad times are to follow

Okay, so this Thanksgiving Break was okay, but not the greatest. Sure, coming back to Whitefish Bay was pretty cool, I got to eat Kopp's burgers and custard, and I got to chill with most of the usual crew, and I got to check out the new, made-for-snobs Bayshore Town Center (at least they didn't ditch Rocky's). I came back on Friday night to support my Badger men's hockey team as they took on the Michigan Wolverines and had Jack Skille in the lineup for the first time since October 13th. They played pretty well, but we ended up losing 4-3. However, we played some darn good hockey on Saturday against Michigan State and we won 2-0. The best part was that Shane Connelly was the goalie and Ben Street scored a goal, and they're both in my Psych 202 class. Rock on.

However, despite all of this fun, I still have to write and do a fair amount of research for a draft of an 8 to 12-page Journalism 201 paper due on Friday. Yeah, I'll be living in the library from now until Friday morning, and probably after since I'll have to make it even better because, most likely the draft will suck. But the most frustrating thing is that I DIDN'T EVEN NEED TO TAKE THIS DANG CLASS! That's right, I don't want to be a Journalism major, but I realized that after the drop deadline, so I'm essentially taking a meaningless class. My major is (if it's God's will that I get into the School of Business) Finance, so Journalism 201 is useless. I realized this semester that I despise journalism and that, strange as it may be, I like Accounting and Economics, which is why I'm taking Intermediate Microeconomic Theory and Managerial Accounting next semester.

But hey, at least I didn't do anything as stupid as I did at this time last year. So there's a plus.
