So this may end up being a long, rambling, unnecessarily detailed entry that contains no information pertinent to you, but I've spent the entire day studying (like from 2:00-10:00 and after I write this).
So yeah, this weekend was pretty good. On Friday night, we (i.e. Ian, his friend from out of town, and I) went to the Kohl Center to see the Badgers take on the University of Minnesota-Duluth Gopher Rejects in hockey. It was a good game, until we gave up the tying goal, otherwise we totally would have won. So yeah, we tied 2-2. After that I went to Eric's and we jammed on drums and guitar and watched bad horror movies, like "House." On Saturday, the football team housed Purdue 24-3, so that was pretty awesome and we're in 2nd place in the Big Ten since Michigan and OSU are tied for first. Then, we (i.e. Ian, Emily, and I) went to the hockey game against UMD and it was fun, except for the fact that Kelley Schacht (WFB '05 and does not attend UW) was spooning with some guy in the row in front of us. If you're gonna spoon at a hockey game, do it somewhere else besides the stands. Do it in the bathroom, do it in the concourse because people won't have to see it for 2 and a half hours, or do it on the smoking patio right outside section 115. There's nothing wrong with spooning, so long as it's in private. If only those Milwaukee's Best Light commercials really happened. Otherwise, the game was fun because we won 5-2 and if we redeem our ticket stub at any Madison area Culver's, we get a free dish of custard. Only problem is that Culver's is not in walking distance, and I don't have time to negotiate the bus system.
Anyways, this week will be hell. Why? Well, my Journalism 201 midterm is tomorrow, but I don't think it'll be that bad. Then I have to work on my ILS 252 paper about Richard Nixon's environmental policies due Friday, but I already have two pages of it done and there's a 7-page limit, and I have a feeling my professor would get pissed at anyone who writes over 7 pages. I also have a Psych 202 exam on Thursday and some written critiques to do for J201 due Friday. I'll have barely any time to even THINK about what I'll be for Halloween. Speaking of which, next weekend will be out of control ridiculous. Friday night will be UW vs. Boston College in hockey in a rematch of last year's national championship game, then it'll be Halloween night 1. Saturday morning we play Illinois in football, then play BC at night in hockey, and then is night 2 of Halloween, which is when everyone gets rowdy. Yeah, it'll be ridiculous...ridiculously AWESOME!
