Had an interesting conversation with my parents tonight about drugs of abuse. I was particularly interested to learn about one I hadn't heard of before. Miltown. I probably should have heard of it before given my interest in anti-anxiety medications but I hadn't. It is also known as meprobamate. It was made by Carters in Miltown New Jersey. Other favorites of the adults of my parent's youthincluded librium, thorazine, and valium.
(not specific adults mind you...generic ones. though, "there was that time that [Ethel]took that pill for her back pain on the way to the beach and was quite happy in that wierd sort of a way")
