"Muppet Treasure Island"

It's certainly not on anybody's "Top 10 Best of All Time" list, but I swear this sweet, silly movie never gets old.

Actually, I might know someone who would rank it in their top 10.

There are *so* many quotable moments.

Did you ever finish your project of extracing the soundtrack from the DVD?

It's languished, actually. I have the sound extracted, just need to edit it to just the songs and lead-in dialogue.

Let me know if there's any way I can bribe you to finish the project and give me a copy. ;-)

But WHY did it have to be muppets?! unicorndelamer February 11 2009, 05:52:39 UTC
Unfortunately, since I'm terrified of muppets, I doubt this is one I'll ever see. But from what I understand it is a very entertaining film. I have heard a number of those one-liner quotes from the movie and found them funny, I just wish something else had been cast to portray the story.

If you don't mind my asking. . . how does one get to be terrified of muppets??

I'm not really sure. For one who hosts a plethora of cartoons in her head, you'd think that me and the muppets would be tight. No. Such. Thing. Something about them gives me the heebie jeebies! I don't enjoy puppet shows either. Ironically, the cartoon show that used to be on TV when I was little called "Muppet Babies" was one of my favorite shows. I can now tolerate "Labrynth" but not until I was over 20 and there are still a few scenes that I either skip (if I'm watching it alone) or have to leave the room for if I don't want nightmares that night about them.

It's certainly my favorite Muppet movie of them all. :)
