Hey, great post!! My husband and I both know the value of comics -- sociologically and for other purposes. You know I tend to play computer games to help play out ideas I have for writing, and he in turn writes music for them at times as well as getting ideas for his own compositions... to us comics are a different version of these, and they're just as useful. Hell, my brother who's 24 reads "The Green Lantern" when he can.

Exactly! Comic books are simply another art form, another medium. It's one that has both words AND pictures, and so appeals to different learning styles. I am ever amazed at the way that comic books can say so little with such impact!
