[lim t -> 0] YES! Those fucked limits! You cannot know how much I hate them!
[? They're very silly, imho. They're used for precision -- to explain cases where you can't really solve something but you can talk about ways you can get close to solving it -- but they always seem to go away when you start talking about applications.] The fact: I'm not able to calculate something if I don't write numbers. At least letters. Today a friend of mine explain the properties of the limits, a lot of abstract rules. I need numbers and letters, can you understand me? So, I need exercises.
[Integrals aren't so bad, at least conceptually. Again, they should teach what they're for before they teach what they are, but they don't seem to teach that way. :(] I hate conventions. Someone says: "1+1=2" And I ask: "Why? What's 1? Why the hell do I have to calculate the result?" :P It's like the ipse dixit; to put it better: "Someone says that's the fact." (Ipse dixit: he/she said this.) And I ask: "Yes, but why is that the fact?" I don't have confidence. :P
[Yes... North had an informal gig on Saturday. Lots of work, but also a fun time.] I asked Noesis to write a topic about North in a forum in which we write. :)

[Just one English note re use of "fuck" (because i know that, like me, you recognize the high importance of the word). :) The more common derisive adjective form of fuck is "fucking" -- as in "Those fucking limits!" You can use "fucked" as an adjective, but that usually means something is broken (e.g. "My car is fucked.") or very screwed up (e.g. "That whole family situation was fucked."). Anyway, i know you like to know these things. :)]

I think so, yes. Limits are one of the most abstract elements of math at that level. Hopefully it wont get too much worse than that.
I hate conventions. ... I don't have confidence.
I understand. I'm like that about other things. I often get asked, "Why do you always have to ask why something is done the way it is? Can't you just accept that this is how it's done?" Well, yes, if i must... but knowing why and how it works might help me improve on the process, and there are very few processes i've met that cannot be improved upon! :)

You (voi*) are the best! Please feel free to include the website -- clunky as it is -- so that people can download free music if they like. I'd love to get feedback on it, and i can send you some CDs if people really want some. :) THANK YOU!

(Fuck the "fuck"!)
Yes, I would like to know all about "fuck". :P
Thanks. :)

I really know something only if I've understood how it works. You cannot change anything if you don't understand how something works, isn't it?

No problem. :) It has become quite the multifacetted part of speech in American English.
You cannot change anything if you don't understand how something works, isn't it?
Agreed... that's how i like to think of things.

I could try in Italian and embarrass myself... but if you and Noesis are mentioning it, that's wonderful! Thanks again!
