Disclaimer: Although the plot is mine, the characters and the whole Harry Potter franchise belongs solely to J.K. Rowling, the woman that started my addiction into the Potter universe. I receive no monies for this story, but write for the pleasure of twisting the characters to my will.
Notes: To Clara: I haven't written a humorous fic before, and I feel the only part that isn't very well written is the humor you requested. I'm very sorry about that! Especially since it took me so long to write this. It was hard to find the inspiration for this fic but I finally decided to do a format I've wanted to try out. Hope you like it! J Kass
Monday
He kissed her cheek before the Quidditch game. Hermione was ecstatic; her whole heart seemed to be bursting with emotions. As she sat there unmoving, eyes following his every move, she couldn't help but think about how handsome Draco Malfoy looked in his Quidditch uniform.
She resisted the urge to cheer when he caught the snitch; the urge to hug him as she was shuffled out by the crowd past the Slytherin Prince. It was a dream. A fantasy. He would never love her.
But as their gazes met for that mere second, she knew she could not let go of this dream, for even bookworms like her needed someone to hold on to. The day suddenly seemed a whole lot brighter. And maybe, just maybe, dreams could come true.
On Mondays, they were dreamers.
Tuesday
The gifts began to pour in. Little meaningful things that she knew were from him. A silver bracelet, a journal with her initials engraved, a bookmark, even a small cupid found his way into her pile of treasures. He was watching her. She could feel his burning gaze throughout the whole day, but it was good, it was great.
Hermione found him waiting for her, and then laughed at his disposition. Draco looked terrible. He dressed up as cupid for her. He looked ridiculous in the costume with little wings, red makeup and a loin cloth. Yet, she couldn't help think that he had changed. The Draco Malfoy she knew would never do something as damaging to his reputation as this.
She was so surprised when he leaned in and kissed her. When her mind finally processed what happened, he was gone. She clutched a hand to her heart and slumped down the wall. Was this what love felt like? Maybe even the great Draco Malfoy could fall in love with a plain girl like her.
On Tuesdays, they wished.
Wednesday
It was a long and rigorous day. Double Potions followed by Arithmancy, her lunch had been cut and she went to Herbology with an empty stomach. Even her favorite class, Ancient Runes couldn't help her feel better at the end of the day. She felt as if she was cursed or something, things just weren't going up.
At least, they weren't until she reached her dorm room. He was there. All she could do was raise an eyebrow, and stare. As if answering her unspoken question, he coughed out, "Your cat ate my boxers, Granger. There was nothing I could do."
And slowly her lips curled up for the first time that day.
On Wednesdays, they began changing.
Thursday
He was everywhere. Draco was the only thing she could think about all day. In Transfiguration, she was so distracted she hadn't even noticed her frog had turned into a bowl instead of a cup. McGonagall's disappointed face didn't even faze her. She couldn't even remember what happened in Charms. At lunch Hermione accidentally ate an apple, forgetting she was highly allergic to apples, and landed herself a trip to the hospital wing.
She was forced to stay in the infirmary for the rest of the day. Hermione didn't even try to protest, which probably was why Ron almost passed out. He was bad for her. Thinking about him so much was bad. She couldn't help it though. All she could see was his grey, stormy eyes, his brilliantly blond hair and his smile, oh, how lovely he looked with a smile on his face.
Draco found her after she got out of the infirmary. They kissed. Passionately. Lustfully. Desperately.
They made love for the first time. She couldn't help but feel as if everything changed somehow. It was the beginning of a new adventure, a life, and a new relationship. It was going to last forever. She knew it would. This was the real thing.
On Thursdays, they found first loves.
Friday
Hermione was surprised when Snape held her after class for a talk. She was even more surprised when she learned of the subject of their talk. Draco.
She listened as the potions master talked of Draco's life, and how he didn't need any more trouble especially in the form of a Gryffindor know-it-all. Hermione felt anger rose inside of her. She had been worried about getting approval from her friends, but never thought someone like Snape would feel so strongly about her relationship with Draco. If Snape was against this, she couldn't imagine what the Slytherins or Gryffindors would feel. Maybe… maybe they couldn't do this after all. Maybe it was just too hard.
"I understand, sir." A glare. Then he did something she didn't expect at all. Snape said she was right. She was right. This was a miracle. He went on to say how he thought Hermione was the best choice Draco had made. Snape told her to take care of Draco, to not break his heart. As if she would! He told they had his approval. Hermione felt appalled as she left the office. She walked all the way to the Gryffindor common room before his words sank in. She smiled. At least someone approved.
On Fridays, they made discoveries.
Saturday
They spent the day in bed. She didn't know how many times they had sex. Each time was better than the last. Hermione laid limp in Draco's arms. A hot flush over her skin caused by their activities. The room reeked of sex. Sweat gleamed off her body. She felt so safe there with his arms around her. The heat was unbearable. Hermione could feel him stirring up again, his member pressed between her thighs.
Before she knew what was happening, he was on top of her, laying kisses everywhere. A wet trail of saliva from her neck to her stomach. As his lips captured her left breast, she gave a soft moan, and her core began to ache. Hermione whimpered loudly as he slipped into her. In. Out. Harder. Faster. She felt as if she was going to explode. Then she screamed his name. She came furiously, her orgasm rippling through her body. After a few more thrusts, Draco followed, groaning into her hair.
Panting heavily, Draco rolled off Hermione and onto his side. She turned to look at him with a smile. It was then that she realized it: every day should be a Saturday.
On Saturdays, they were lovers.
Sunday
They exchanged ties and sat together for breakfast. Draco even kissed her in front of the entire student body. They were official. Sure, there was the uncertainty of the first days, and the rocky road ahead, but nothing was perfect. At the end of the day, they were the only ones who truly mattered.
What surprised her the most were the inter-house relationships that followed: Ron and Pansy, Blaise and Ginny, Harry and Luna.
Love seemed to be in the air. Hermione smiled as he leaned in to kiss her.
On Sundays, everything began all over again.
