I got up pretty early because I didn't want to miss my bus to Kyoto. After having breakfast I checked out from K's Tokyo and headed to Shinjuku Station. I have printed out the instructions how to get to Willer Bus Station. I was totally blank when I arrived at Shinjuku Station because it is soo big XD I had been there before, actually, when my friend and I had to go to the bus station that took us to Fuji a year ago, but Willer station is different from that one and the gate where I came out from was different from the one I had printed lol! So I just followed my instinct because most of the time, I have the most amazing instinct ever lol! When I went out from the station, I was actually in the right direction, phew! I was so glad.
I arrived an hour before my bus departed. I didn't book a flight to Kyoto because it was too expensive to go by plane. Furthermore, I really wanted to know how it feels to be in an eight-hour bus drive to Kyoto XD The bus departed exactly at 9 A.M, something that I always admire from Japan, their punctuality is amazing :D
The bus was amazing! it is even much better than AirAsia lol! My seat is very comfortable. Blankets, TV, PSP are provided so we won't get bored. Paying 4300 yen for such facilities is totally worth it. We stopped by three times and in every resting area I bought an onigiri XD
Some pictures taken at the resting area
I arrived at Kyoto Station at 5.30 P.M and went straight to Starbucks that is located under Kyoto Tower. Oh Gawd! as soon as I stepped my feet in Kyoto, I felt like crying XD Kyoto is my most favorite city ever! If I were to live in Japan, I would absolutely live in Kyoto :D
I had caramel frappuccino while waiting for Mas Rustono to pick me up. I really enjoyed watching all those people walking by, the cold weather in Kyoto, those awesome night lights, ahhh....yappari, Kyoto ga sukiii!!!
Mas Rustono picked me up at 7.30 P.M and he was with his Indonesian friend. He introduced me to him, his name is Deddy (I call him Mas Deddy). He owns a bar in Kyoto. After loading my stuff into his car, we went to Mas Deddy's bar. The bar is small but cozy. Then we went to Hati Hati, an Indonesian restaurant where Mas Rustono's other friend is working. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed because it was a Wednesday (I don't know why it is closed on Wednesdays). Then I was introduced to Mas Budy, who works as a cook in Hati Hati.
Because our initial plan to eat in Hati Hati had to be cancelled, Mas Deddy suggested going to a new yakiniku restaurant nearby. They were having this All You Can Eat promo, so we decided to go there.
I must admit that it was the best yakiniku I've ever had in my life XD Yappari ne, if you want to taste the original taste of Japanese food, you have to eat it in its original country lol!
We really ordered A LOT! and it was really never ending XD I was tempted to order sake because I really wanted to know the taste, but I ordered orange juice instead XD
We really had a good chat and I'm glad that I didn't feel awkward or nervous at all talking with them. It feels as if I have known them for years XD
After 1.5 hours of a non stop yakiniku, we went to Mas Rustono's other friend's cafe. It is owned by Mas Ade, such a nice guy he is :D Again, we chatted a lot and it was really fun. We even talked about fandom and EXILE!! hahahahaha...Mas Ade showed me a picture of one of his staff who looks like MAKIDAI XD hahahaha...he does look like MAKIDAI XD That's why we started talking about EXILE XD They also talked about idols during their teenager time and we had such a good laugh about the trends at that time LOL! Those men are really fun to talk with I feel so blessed XD
We left the place after midnight. Said goodbye to Mas Budy, Mas Ade and Mas Deddy. Then we headed to Shiga. As soon as I arrived at Mas Rustono's house, I went to the second floor where "my room" is hahahaha...Mas Rustono said that that room belongs to me and I can stay with them every time I go to Japan XD Such a kind-hearted person he is :D Apparently Mamako (Mas Rustono's wife) had prepared my room, I felt so touched. After washing my face and brushing my teeth, I went to bed.
Such an amazing night in Kyoto spent with amazing new friends :)
