So today I did lots of stuff. And even though that included washing the windows, it was all great. The sun was out and it was warm! Yay! Softball was a nice sized game and we got to play for a good long amount of time. So it was a good game to end on. That has been an awesome part of the summer, I'm going to miss it alot.
I helped my sister move some stuff. Packed some of my own stuff. Had a good run. And watched some great Olympic races! I love the Olympics- but track most of all. And today I finally saw what I've been craving to see. I love running so much, and I used to read up on all the best runners and whatnot while at work. So these are the people I admire. And today some of them did amazing. Deena Kastor, an American, went from 18th to 3rd in the marathon and she was crying at the end cuz she was so happy and I was practically crying too. It was great to watch- she beat a Kenyan and thats huge. Then in the 100m dash, this nice-not-a-jerk sprinter guy won and the other American guys that were 3rd and 4th were all happy for him. And that was great. And then the guy from my team just missed making the finals in the 1500m :( But its still awesome that he made the Olympics.
Sorry I dont know how to make cuts...
Then Megan's bonfire was a ton of fun. I got to see a bunch of people I probably wont' see for a long time. Its sad that its time for everyone to go away again, but it was still nice to see everyone.
Oh yeah, STC had our first gig at the MMC on Thursday and a ton of people showed up. It was fun and we played pretty well. Chris even joined us for a song, and Sharkey helped us out too. Then the block party gig yesterday was sweet. EVerything sounds great outside and the crowd seemed to like us. Thanks to everyone who has come to our shows! You guys are fantastic :)
Next couple days-finish packing, buy carpet, buy portable CD player, go to AA and get all that crap done, hang out with Jeremy, see my friends on Tuesday night, see my Mom and Dad. I'm sad summer is over but I know there will be more great times to come.
