Helloooo, NORTHREND!
Third day in a row of shitty internet. Streaky, spikey speeds; my latency goes up and down like crazy. Mostly it's up. This, as can be guessed, slows down my playing quite a lot. If I'm not dying because I'm frozen, I'm queing up as many spells in a row as I can and then sitting back hoping they go off and kill the mob by the time the game catches up and tells me what's happened. My Earth Elemental has saved my little green behind more than once, I tell you whut.
Haven't even bothered with dungeons. Not only would it be uncool to basically let myself be carried (because high lag = low dps, generally), but the one time I tried, some dipshit idiot tank decided that the best way to handle the dungeon with all the Mind Control mobs (A-something crypts? Lotsa bird people.) was to round them ALL up, try to burn them down, then yell at the rogue for not killing the MC totems. The rogue, of course, kept getting mc'd.
Surprised he didn't yell at me, too. I was Purging and Cleansing as much as I could, and I /did/ drop Tremor Totem, but TT's been way nerfed and just doesn't last very long these days. :/ What we needed was CC, but the group decided to just disband instead. Eh. Good riddance.
Despite all this, managed to hit 68 this morning, so now I'm set up in Northrend (Borean Tundra; don't want nothin' to do with the Forsaken, honestly) with Cold Weather Flying AND a lucky blue shield drop from Outlands. Can't wear it for another level, but it'll be a nice upgrade and should last a bit.
According to MMO Champion, Patch 4.2 (FIRELANDS) should be dropping on June 21st. Since they're usually right about these things... I've got a lot of work to do if I want to be 85 by the time the patch drops. Moreso since I'm going out of town the weekend before!
Can I do it? We'll see. :]
