"Pretty Wild" is...pretty wild
Right after Kendra, a new show premiered called Pretty Wild. The sh 
ow focuses on these three young sisters, Tess, 19, Alexis, 18, and Gabby, 16, that are “pretty wild.” Based in LA, the girls are living with their mother Andrea Neiers, who is a former lingerie model from the later 1980s and is also managing Tess and Alexis’ modeling careers. From the beginning of the episode, it was clear that this show is going to focus on untamed teenage girls. The mother is first seen working out in skimpy outfit in her home. She then realizes that it’s time for her daughters’ cialis and begins screaming for them to wake up to take their Adderall. Why begin their pilot episode with the girls taking their medication? Obviously these girls have some attention deficiency disorder, which could illuminate the reasons behind their wild actions?
After the girls take their medication, the mother finds paparazzi pictures online of her middle daughter, Alexis, hanging out with troubled people. The mother warns Alexis to stay away from that group for it could potentially hurt her career. Was this scene foreshadowing something? Of course it was because moments later, the police were at their door with a search warrant. Alexis was arrested on suspicion of being involved with a burglary ring, which broke into the homes of many celebrities this past October such as Lindsay Lohan and Orlando Bloom. The whole episode then focused on Alexis and her bailout. The other sisters and the mother, along with a swarm of paparazzi, were at the police station waiting for Alexis to be released. Once free, the women return to their home, where Alexis learns that her modeling contract with a big designer company ended because of her suspected actions. Alexis declares that “this ruined her life.” These young girls obviously want to be involved with the Hollywood socialite scene but are attempting this the wrong way. Also, for some reason, these three girls remind me of the Kardashian sisters. Obviously, there might be an age difference between the two sisterhoods, but their attitudes and style of dress is similar. Maybe they are trying to become like the Kardashian sisters. Initially starting off with modeling careers that could potentially blow up into something bigger, like the Kardashian sisters.
At the end of this first episode, there was a preview of what the upcoming season would look like. It could be summed up with very little word; an ecstasy of wild performances and exposed teenage girls. I think I will continue watching this show, only to see how these girls’ lives turn out. Beginning the season with an arrest and a lingerie runway show sure did catch my attention, so I would like to see what else these girls have in store for us.
