To Chinese people who wonder why it's hard to make friends with foreigners

Student in class: can we have your msn? *others agree*

Me: I don't give my msn out to students b/c then I would have 3000 people wanting to practice their English with me, you have to understand this. This is why I don't have a QQ account, the day I opened it I had 500 invites from Chinese people b/c they saw that I was a foreigner in China and spoke English, I closed it down after that.

Also when you use IM programs, you use it as a source to find people with similar interests and likes and start talking to them, in America, we mostly use it to talk to friends and people we know, we rarely look for strangers to talk to.

Student who asked initial question: Please please we won't bother you with things like that, maybe just talk sometimes.

Me: If you guys promise that, then ok. (I have to admit here that I do give it out, but only to certain students I deem worthy of talking too, but I was thinking with my dick yesterday, b/c all the students in this class are female)

*writes it on the board*

Later that evening...

MSN: XXX has added you as a contact, would you like to as well.

*clicks allow, immediately after clicking a window pops up*

Student from class: Hi! :)

Me: Hey

MSN: XXX would like to send you a file, do you...

Me: What is this?

Student from class: It's a question

*d/l file and opens up in word*

Me: This is a 6 page document with questions and answers

Student from class: Please edit

Me: Do you remember what I said in class today?

Student from class: Yes but I thought you are my teacher.

Me: In class, when they pay me, on their time, I am.

Student from class: I understand your thinking.

Student from class: But I thought you were my friend.

Needless to say it went on and I tried in the nicest way to tell her to fuck off, she does pay my salary after all. But it seems to me the longer I am here, the more used I feel.
