I was listening to KUOW (NPR) and heard
Michael Sandel giving a talk about about his class, book, and television series. Part of the discussion was about same-sex marriage. Sandel had very interesting points (via Aristotle) about understanding political conflicts as a surface layer over an actual disagreement over the essential nature of institutions as well as how praise and worthiness ought to be determined, but that's not what I want to say about it.
What I want to say is "Anima, I don't know who you are, but rock on!" (One of the audience members was advocating civil unions for all, and civil marriage for none.)
