So, is it just me, or was Ruby Wax the worst, most useless guest ever on QI? Thank god for Ross Noble, or the "H Animals" episode would have been awful.

I thought she was fine. Not as great as some guests but CERTAINLY not the worst.

My least favourite guests were Terry Wogan and Pam Ayres.

I just found her doddery, for some reason. It made her really unfunny and a little uncomfortable to watch.

Terry Wogan's appearance was just dire, though.

(My opinions of Ruby Wax, however, are probably helped by the fact that I consider any time away from Sean Lock a good thing. I haven't been able to stand him ever since I realised that he's an absolute douche to any guests of obvious intelligence. The way he acted towards Rory McGrath (who, know-it-all or not, deserves more respect than Sean gave him) and Ben Miller (who wasn't even acting like a know it all, just genuinely answering Stephen's questions on an interesting subject) put me right off of him.)

Agreed re: Sean Lock being a utter dickhead at times. However, I do find guests like McGrath and Miller to be completely annoying. They take up too much time giving detailed, long-winded & correct answers which, in my opinion, is not the purpose of the show. But, that's a personal preference.

I agree that McGrath got annoying, but I didn't think that Miller was too bad. It was obviously very topical, what with CERN.

But I guess that I would find Miller interesting, anyway, because I studied physics myself.

I guess I just take Sean Lock's attitude very personally, since I'm the sort of person he would probably heckle.

I loved Ben Miller on QI and would love to see him back. I kind of like the smart participants because it's a break from people like Sean Lock making really ridiculous suggestions on purpose. I personally can't stand Sean Lock on QI, but he was quite a bit better when he was hosting his own show. Regardless, his sense of humor has always been a bit mean, imo, and I'm just not so fond of it. He works really well with Bill Bailey, I've noticed, though.

Rory McGrath is likable, too, but I can't really watch any of his tv shows because he's always partnered up with someone who gets really annoying almost right away. :/

I think Sean Lock just does it to be like the "funny" guy to everyone else who are giving the right answers - bit like Alan Davies is sometimes. I don't think it comes across as bad but I can see it might be a bit annoying sometimes. I do like him though :)
