I know it's been asked before, at least it has been elsewhere, but does anyone know when the new series will start?

More about the subject behind the cut- I have a reason I'm asking. And I apologize in advance for the length of my paranoid ramblings )

My guess would be that they've finished filming the F series and Alan's videos were from the G series, which could plausibly air in 2009 if we get to see the F series this fall. That's a complete stab in the dark though, and rides on Alan misunderstanding the question. LOL, in short, I have no idea, but that's one theory I'm going to stick to because I don't want to wait until '09 either!

Thanks for the answer. I think it is from the F-series, though, because it has the line-up listed, and it matches one of the F-series line-ups according to the QI blog and wiki page. And it is labeled "Series F." One thing I do know: I really need to stop procrastinating by looking all this up!

Ah, okay. I hadn't done any of the research you had, and was just taking a stab in the dark. XD I'm glad your queston has been answered, but not so pleased it means no new QI until '09. :(

Latest word is that the F-series, from which Alan's videos are from, won't air until 2009 due to the show changing to a new network. A switch up to BBC 1 a big step for a show of its ilk, and many celebrations will no doubt be in order once the word is out. Yes, this means that, unfortunately, the programme won't be broadcast in autumn as it normally is, although the Children in Need and Christmas episodes may have a schedule of their own.

"from which Alan's videos are from": please delete any and all extraneous prepositions...

This news makes me very sad. Very sad indeed. As an American who gets their QI through the internet, I could care less what network it's on. I mean, I guess I'm glad the show is doing well and moving up, but...I really don't think I can make it until 2009 :(

It is rather a BBC2 show though. Why switch up? (I'm only grumpy due to QI withdrawl)

i agree, it was a rather BBC 2 program, the switch makes little sense to me

Why is moving to BBC1 such a big deal? I actually prefer most of the programmes they show on BBC2. I'm not trying to argue I'm just a bit miffed - it seems so pointless!
