I found an upside to the camp cold. It was pretty harsh on my throat, so my singing voice is a little rough, but I just discovered that I suddenly have a vocal range of about 3 1/2 octaves. I don't know what it was before, but I think I can sing almost a full octave lower than I used to be able to. And at the same time I can hit a couple notes higher than I could before. Basically, I can now sing soprano, alto or tenor.

So now if I can only keep that but lose the roughness...

I'm going to go sing along to Simon and Garfunkel now without having to switch octaves 5 times per song.
