The O.P.P. called when I got home from work today. They wanted a statement from us, and they were gathering statements from all the other people who had phoned in. Dana wrote one, faxed it off to the constable, and added at the end that we would like to press charges. (!)
The Constable told me the it was a silver Suzuki hatchback, driven by a woman, with children in the vehicle. The vehicle wound up losing control, rolling into a ditch, and one of the children was ejected from the vehicle. Amazingly, no-one was hurt!!!
The police are still trying to sort out what happened, and will be in touch...
We really thought it was some maniac on a suicidal rampage- We were quite shocked to hear it was a woman with kids... She was speeding towards us, didn't hesitate, didn't make any attempt to get out of the way- Crazy.
I Googled "Suzuki Hatchback", got the picture, and felt anxious all over again...
I can still see that damn thing coming right for us.
I was in a tremendous mood all day, because I got to be around today. I would very much like to know what this woman was thinking... If we should ever pass one of these on the road, on a rainy day, I fear I might run the risk of wetting my pants.
