The kitties have names!
It has taken a couple days but the kittens have responded to names. I had a two-page-long list of names for the girls, many of them suggestions from people who love cats.
The kitten you see in the userpic location is Marya. She came when I called her and is definately answering to the name.
Her sister is a lot like Vlad. She has the same classic tabby markings and has shorter hair. She is now called Ilona.
Historical note: Vlad Tepes, or Vlad the Impaler, had a wife named Ilona. Interesting that the two classic tabbies are Vlad and Ilona.
