I have realized that I haven't really made an entry about band yet, and considering that is what I spend a lot of my time doing these days (second to homework of course), I should probably talk a bit about it for those of you that are interested (namely Susan :D).

Well, I have never marched before, so walking backwards, keeping count, and playing at the same time is a bit of a challenge. I think I'm getting the hang of it though. We've had two games so far and less than 10 one and a half hour practices, so considering we got 2/3 of our half time show on the field last weekend was pretty impressive. Ha, and most of all, we didn't make fools ourselves (marching anyway, the uniforms are pretty dorky, but that's ok :D ). I like the songs we play a lot - we have about 15 so far that we rotate through from the stands. Some are school songs, and others are more popular ones like the ESPN theme and Darth Vader's March, etc. There's this dance that the band always does during games (football, basketball, hockey, whatever) called the "Tone Dance". It's so awesome! I don't really know how to describe it, but let me just say it is famous enough to have been on ESPN.

Well, this weekend the football team plays Harvard. That may ruin or 2-0 streak, but oh well. It should be a lot of fun anyway, considering there are some pretty awesome cheers that we pull out only against the Ivys. (Sorry Mikah.) I'll have to post some of them later. Some of them may be a little immature, but apparently the cheers the Ivy teams do are even worse. I'll explain later...

So, in other news, I seemed to have developed a teeny tiny crush on the rank leader of my section. I don't know who reads thing for sure, so I don't want to say too much about that. Hehe

And for any of you who want to see pictures of the band stuff, go to...

There should be pictures posted from this season soon : D
