Alright, so it's been quite a while since I updated... I suppose I'll start with turkey day weekend...

The drive out was relatively uneventful. Saw three cops. Got home safely. I'd forgot how flippin cold it was in MN and left my gloves and hat here in Rapid. So I was cold. Oh, and the check engine soon light came on. So I suppose something eventful did happen. Anyway, some of you know that at the end of the summer whilst packing to come out here, I couldn't find the liner (it's a Colombia). Now, the weather out here isn't too bad, so it's okay. But like I said, it's cold in MN. Anywho... My dad took the burban in to the dealership that friday. Well I had a haircut that afternoon, and needed my jacket (the outside bit, as I couldn't find the liner). So I'm tearing the house apart trying to find it, and lo! I find the liner on our jacket stand. No one knows how it got there, just that it did. Damn gremlins. So after my haircut, I met the various family members for lunch at the Larkspur. So after we finish eating, we're sitting around chatting, and my dad decides to call the dealership to see if the car is good to go or not. The fellas at the dealership took it out for a test drive on the highway. There were driving around getting a feel for whatever might be wrong, and this semi trailer is closing in on them. Well they accelerate to put some distance between them and the semi. Well the thing dies. There on the highway doing like 60mph, it just shuts off. So they pull off to the side, pop the hood, and start poking around. Guess what? Loose battery cable. Tightened it down, check engine light goes away, everything is hunky dory. Oh, and it turns out I left the outside piece of my jacket in the burban. When we picked it up, there it sat in the backseat, right where I'd left it.

Rest of the weekend was fun. Hot food and whatnot. The drive back on the other hand, was quite eventful. Icky weather driving out of New Ulm... Got to about SF or so when I started passing people. Well I was passing this semi, and the wind from me passing his front end hit me, and I slid into the ditch between the lanes. Doing seventy mph. Yeah, Steve and I almost had mutual heart attacks. All guages and whatnot seemed to be in good working order. Wasn't making any odd noises. Pulled back up onto the interstate, and away we went. At forty, with four wheel drive on. Ick. Weather was around for several more hours. Finally cleared, but was still obscenely windy. I did 85 for the last three hours of the drive, fighting the wind the entire way. Major suck.

Since then, I got new, blue uv reactive, round cables for my computer, as well as a pair of blue uv lights. Mounted the switches in the front of my case where there was space for firewire ports. Lights up gorgeously. I think I might need to upgrade my psu before I get another hd though. I've had some small power issues. It's okay for now, but nothing I want to do for too long. I'll probably pick one up after christmas break.

I've talked to Susan a bit more. Yeah, that cute gal from my diff class. It's really too bad she and her b/f have been going out for the last eight months or so. We get along really well. Some flirting, not much though. Just enough to make me wish...

And let's see, got to talk to Mindi again. Good to hear from her, even if only briefly. She's... also taken. And on the other side of the state. It's alot closer than Northfield though, so maybe. Maybe if she had her own computer. I really think the ability to send video and audio from my computer nearly full time would help keep things going. But what do I know, eh?

I've done some of the character intros for my dnd game next semester. It should be interesting. With my two small experiences DMing, and having played under Bill and Steve this semester, I think I can do pretty good.

I got a 110% on my last csc250 program. Thank you extra credit! And speaking of csc250, I got a 92 on our most recent test. With the curve, that becomes a 97 (yes, out of 100). Huzzah for me!

Well that's all that leaps to my sleep-deprived mind, so I'm off for now. Maybe I'll go eat dinner...
