It is a strong opinion of mine that everyone needs to know about Woodhands and if they don't immediately make you shake some part of your real or metaphorical ass (sometimes obvious ass-shakery is inappropriate) then you have never truly rocked out and will probably never learn to.

Upon listening to more of their music, I have concluded that you are absolutely right.

I guess since there is some Woodhands-love here I should mention that the lead dude is called Dan Werb and if you hunt for a podcast called Stop Podcasting Yourself he is on it a couple of times. In addition to being amazing, he is also hilarious. As is Stop Podcasting Yourself

Ratatat is your hipster friend who "ironically but also non-ironically in an ironic way" listens to gangsta rap.

For years I wondered when a hip-hop artist would use them as producers. And Kid Cudi has finally done so. This pleases me greatly.

On the other hand, Mixtape 2 made me wonder if they were trying to find out just how offensive the lyrics for the songs they were remixing could get before their fans became really, really uncomfortable. There are so many things wrong with "Dead Wrong".
