I’m stealing a line from the episode. Again. Coincidentally, the last time I did that was also for a
darandkerry episode; Tempting Fate. Why is that? Glad you asked. Because, frankly, she just keeps coming up and using some of the best lines, so why shouldn’t I ‘borrow’ them ;)
After stopping two serial killers, copycats killers, abusers, and cult leaders the Club truly needs time off to relax and bond over something other than a corps. Thankfully this week, they get it in
darandkerry 's episode Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. That’s all they really want, but as the saying (sorta) goes; it’s all fun and games until someone loses consciousness and part of their memory.
When something you read makes you spontaneously respond out loud, I personally believe it’s a sign of a phenomenally written piece. While reading this latest episode I let out many Ha’s!! and Aww’s a couple of Ouches and Bwahahaha’s and a few Uh-oh’s. Oh and lest I forget, one major Huh?! I didn’t get that puzzle thing either. What do you mean, what puzzle thing? Go read the episode! STAT!
There may have been a few incidents which put the Club’s fun on hold, but my own enjoyment of this stellar episode was total.
The case: No murderer this week, but a culprit clever enough to ruffle Lindsay’s feathers, nonetheless. After seeing the banner and the look on Lindsay’s face, I immediately knew she would not be a happy camper (pun a little intended). The source of the inspector’s aggravation and of the readers’ amusement comes in the shape of a furry bandit. Rocky Racoon complicates the Club’s vacation when he steals their personal belongings. Outwitting the forest thief becomes crucial when Lindsay desperately needs to retrieve the keys to her Jeep.
Lindsay/Cindy: I believe Cindy got Lindsay that “Detectives do it undercover” t-shirt, and I believe that’s the reason she wears it. That’s just the kind of cute thing they do. That’s just the kind of cute couple they are. OTP to the nth power. For the record, I know I need a 12-step program.
The Triangle: I’m not the only one looking at the world through Lindsay/Cindy-colored glasses, though. Jill is too, and it alters her memories. But who can blame her for thinking she and Cindy are together? (By the way, a very ingenious way of sneaking in a little Jill/Cindy in the story.) Jill deserves the same kind of love Lindsay and Cindy have, so as someone commented, if she can’t find it with neither Denise nor Maggie, she needs to keep looking. There is someone else out there for her.
The Club: I’m repeating myself and repeating my repetitiveness, but the VS Crew have made the Women’s Murder Club into something bigger and better than anything its original creator ever did.
Can’t decide which I like best:
Cindy …dressed in a worn, oversized San
Francisco police shirt, a pair of gray sweats that had seen better days and fuzzy pink
slippers, OR Cindy… wearing only a pair of black French cut underwear and a black bra, :D
Can’t decide which lines I like best…because, sheesh I like too many of them.
