Intro, Thanks. And Plea For Help With Winning Bid.

Hello All,

I'm a looooong-time fan of Highlander with (thanks in part to help from unovis) a brand new livejournal.  I confess that I am primarily a lurker in the fandom who has decided to finally get a livejournal because several of the ljs I’ve enjoyed reading over the years have either become friends-locked or have authors who have considered friends-locking them. I have, however, attended one HL convention (years ago) and on (too rare) occasion I email feedback to authors about their fanfic, though not under this name, so don’t feel bad if there’s been nothing from me in your inbox over the years. ;-)   I mentally compose feedback way more often than I actually put pen to paper or finger to keyboard. My bad. And I can only hope to do better in the future.

I participated in my first on-line auction last weekend (sweet charity) and was lucky enough to have the winning bid on a fic by unovis!!!   I'm still trying to decide what to ask for.  But I've narrowed the choices down and will pick one of the following two wips: Post-Horsemen Methos and Hans and Foots or The Wrench (D/M).  Anybody want to weigh in on either of these? (Hint, hint, MacGeorge, Dorothy 1901.) I've asked unovis to indulge my indecisiveness for a few days.  But I think one more day may be all I can stretch her patience.

I’ll close by thanking amand-r and the writers who participated in the Highlander Holiday Shortcuts exchange.  I’m still working my way through the stories and have only begun to send feedback, but as I posted rather belatedly at hlh shortcuts, I was very impressed with the quantity, quality and variety of stories produced.  And I look forward to reading more of your stories in 2008.

That’s all for now. Later.
