January brings the snow, Makes your feet and fingers glow
The journey home wasn't too bad yesterday; it took a bit longer than usual, and the last few miles were rather slippery.
We had about a foot of snow overnight (I measured it this morning, as I was clearing the steps up to the house). It would appear most people locally are being sensible and not going anywhere.
Of course West Berkshire has virtually no grit, Reading Buses have cancelled all services, and Mrs Q's report on supplies from the Co-Op wasn't particularly reassuring. We have some organic soya milk. I really cannot say how much I am looking forward to this delicacy.
At the moment the forecast is for two sunny days ahead, so I am hoping that if I clear the driveway of most of the snow tomorrow morning, there is a chance I might actually be able to get out on Friday, before the next lot falls.
