Damn. If you google "pasta spears", you're already number 4 on the list. :-)

(This was a comment and in no way constitutes my guess for today. I reserve the right to make a guess later when I've done more research.)

Nope, she's not named "Damn Carlson". (not even as a nickname, though doesn't "Damnation Carlson" have a nice ring to it? Middle name: "It")

Yes! Very much like Prudence, Charity, etc. I like it.

So I'll show my work on how I got to my guess:

I tried splitting it up, since "pasta spears" came up as "penne" which is too short to be a first-and-last anagram...

For "spears" I got "lances", removed the letters in "carlson" and got "ero" left over. Added "penne" (for pasta) and got...

Neoprene!

(I know, it doesn't actually work logically, but I like the result.)

Ha, I noticed that too! (Nothing in this line is my guess. I still need to figure out what comprises a pasta spear.)
