Summertime is CRAZY!
It seems that this summer has been so crazy I've forgotten alllll about LJ!

In terms of updating, I've been having a great summer! Alternating between jam-packed work days and multiple periods of time off! I've been to Aliisa's camp TWICE already (going back in 2 weeks:), the camping trip, managed to make it to Sudbury for my Mom's birthday in July... this weekend Range and I are headed to Ken's cottage where I hear there is some sort of shin-dig and a pack of canine friends. Then next weekend hopefully to my aunt's new farm near Peterborough, then BACK to Manitoulin Island (yay!).
I just got home from a week of living at Kista's house, pet sitting while she and Matt went to Virginia to visit Krista's mom. They have cable and I feel like I fried my brain a little on TV. And now it's just one more work day 'till the next adventure! I really love this part of summer - that everyone's out doing and planning and getting together. I could do without the heat and humidity and oppressive sunshine, but I'll take it if it means I get to see my friends more!
In other news, my friend Tina now lives in Ottawa and has been much more successful than anticipated at getting me out doing things. I had a birthday dinner downtown at a swanky sushi bar. And I jointed her martial arts class - Muay Thai - which is SO much fun already! I find it funny that I've lived here for a year, and been sort of thinking about taking a martial arts class, and she moves here this July and within a week not only is taking a class, but actively recruiting people to join up. It's amazing how quickly she's fitting in at work. She just has a gift for people, it seems:)
