I picked up a book at the library today, Cutting Your Family's Hair, which I thought was for me but Amelia had other ideas and has been curled up with it all evening, drawing pictures of hair accessories, styles she'd like, the parts to the various natural hair products it has recipes for, etc. Then she brought this to me to send to Katie, and it's such a fine example of the writing she's been doing lately that I needed to scan it. I'm well practiced at reading her writing, so found it very easy to decipher- I don't know how it'll go for those with less experience. I am looking forward to her starting to use, uh, standard word breaks/spaces, but my limited accidents with mentioning anything about things like that, or standard spelling, have resulted in her feeling bad and not writing anything for a while, reminding me well to back the heck off.
