I got Accepted!!
So I got accepted into my college course I really wanted today! I actually got it by accident, just being my normal smiling self.
So I show up at humber this afternoon and after paying SEVEN& to park there, I go about my business and finding the classroom for my First aid course this weekend etc. So then I decide I am going to find out why i need to write this english test. So I wait in line for like 10 mins and finally speak to this really nice brown woman. She was explaining how I needed to hand in my Highschool transcripts to get exempt from the english test. So she then said she would look at my College transcripts and see what they said. She comes back a minute later saying how great my marks were in college. She shows the mark to another advisor and they admit that I should be exempt from the basic english test!! She also keeps mentioning how i got an A in writing and speaking to persuade.
So here comes the harder part. She explains to me how there is a waiting list for the program i want and there are other requirments. I mention to her that I had already sent for my police record and I had my first aid course this weekend. She looked at me surprised and said "Well knowing that, I will skip the waitlist for you and have you accepted right now" . Then she smiles and says that I didn't speak to persuade her. I reply with "oh but I did. I got accepted didn't I? I didn't need to speak to persuade you I just used my general smiling and joy to persuade you." She laughed and said I guess you did. I'll see you in January!
So there it is! a Student again! Back to school in January and I can't wait. Now just to find 9000$ to pay for it. But that is a whole different animal! I will worry about that later, for now, I am just happy I got accepted and can do what I want to do with my life!
