So I wake up this morning, shower sit down at my computer and surf the web. On the way out I grab my bills and flip through them in Traffic on the way to work. Getting to my credit card bill I notice that it is maxed right to the top....This card expired at the end of may and should have only had a few hundred dollars on it left. I look at the bill and my card is maxed and promptly start to get upset and doubt myself. I didn't speand that money did I?
Freaked out I try and go about my day until i can get into the bank. I finally get there around 12 and ask for a statment of the last 3 months for my credit card. There at the end of may is a large amount of money taken on my card to Second Life...
WTF?? I haven't even looked at Second life in years! I joined to check it out and quickly forgot about it and now someone is slamming my card for a large sum of money through second life? You have got to be fucking kidding me!
So I get on the phone to my credit card company and they can't really help me so we get on the line with second life and they start to look into it. seems to be a fairly common thing for people to hack their shit and come away with credit cards even if the card is deleted from the game. The guy says he should have the refund back to me by the end of the day tomorrow but still its fucking scary shit. I thought I had removed my card from the site the moment after I joined but apparantly not. This is fucked up shit.
Well at least they seem to be cooperative about refunding it to me. I still have to eat the interest cost but thats nothing compared to the total of the bill they are refunding me. I am still really worreid it won't get refunded but there really should be no problem with it.
So added onto that. I went to a buddy's place to hang out in celebration of our Hockey team winning the floor hockey league this year and About a KM out from where i am headed...my driver's side Tire finally blows. Then it starts to POUR rain and my Spare tire is flat. Then the guy has to tow me yo a gas station to fill up the spare. Then I had to drive home after the gathering in the rain going no more then 80 for fear of crashing my damn car. a fitting ending to a terrible fucking day.
