So, did anyone on the Flist get sent to Korean/Islamic/Norwegian/whatever school on Saturday to learn about their heritage? And if so, did you enjoy it or was it totally boring? There's a Saturday Dutch school nearby that we might send Orion to next year. He'd just be in the play group to start and would probably know more Dutch than most of the other kids there, but later on it would be all about the culture. You know, little boys sticking their fingers in dykes, Santa's black manservants and Amsterdam's mysteriously phallic street ornaments. ;)
