Why I Recommend This Fic:
Because I love the gradual change we see in Jennifer Taylor's perception of Brian as the seasons unfold. I always felt that her reaction to Brian's news of selling the loft and of Justin turning down his proposal in 511 showed her deep regret at what Justin was walking away from. She really had begun to understand how much Brian loved Justin, and what Justin had lost when he'd left Brian in 507. She was one of the few people who were actually willing to defend Brian--and to Justin's face, no less. This is a beautiful gapfiller for 512 in which we find out what Jennifer wishes for her son's life, and what that life must entail for her son-in-law to be. It's a heart-warming piece that gives me great hope for the future of B/J post-season 5. Because, after all, with Mother Taylor watching closely, B/J would dare not screw up their future together. ;)
