Why I Recommend This Fic:
You don't come across many Gus fics in this fandom, but with this fic, sydneyalexis has written what I think is the ultimate post-513 Gus fic. She has given him a personality, a voice, and a life. And the scenario she has painted of life in idyllic Canada post-proposition 14 is as close to reality as one would ever imagine it to be. That is: what Lindz and Mel left Pittsburgh to find in Toronto wasn't achievable unless they fixed the problems in their own marriage first. And if they failed, then they weren't the only ones who would bear the brunt of their mistakes. It's a beautiful fic. It's an angsty fic. It makes you feel for these kids, for Gus, and for the girls, and for Brian and Justin --- who, believe it or not, turned out to be the mature couple in this future scenario. And all of it makes sense, all of it is wonderfully in character. Go read this fic. You're in for a treat!
