I had a really good past-few-days despite being really really busy!
Two days ago I went back to TJC with Shiao to send the Lit teachers my design files & just to hang around. I really like this place. I think a lot of the experiences I had here made a large part of who I am now.
And some things really don't change :)
That includes our 05 insanity. I have no idea why and how every one of my 05 classmate is mad. I spent the rest of the afternoon with Shiao and yup, I can always rely on my 05 classmates to bring out my not-so-inner crazy. I had a really good time though, we should do this more often!
At night I somehow managed to complete a freelance job (I know right?!) and then the very next day I spent it filming under the hot sun at Bedok Interchange! I'm glad Jiamin came to help because otherwise I would've looked really loserly squatting on the floor just to get certain shots and I would'nt've had the courage to randomly approach uncles to ask if I can film them.
Here's a picture of us pretending to chill at the Kopitiam while discreetly trying to film the people around us.
At night I went back to TJC (yet again!) for Lit Night. I felt kind of privileged to have studied Literature back in JC as much as I didn't want to at first. The Lit department is such a gem to the otherwise cold and rigid school. The teachers were singing and dancing and just by the performances put up by the students you know that they really really do enjoy being taught by them.
Watching students' antics always make me feel old and a little sad because I wish I'm allowed to be young and stupid again.
Today I went to an electronic music concert! I was so worried about what to expect because I honestly have no clue what electronic music was like (+ secretly worried that it would mean having to sit through Skrillex-like music because that's just....no.) But it was really cool, and artistic in a way because the performance involved creating an experience for the audience using a combination of music, graphics, singing and dancing. Yes that's my friend Evelyn DJing on the far left :) She is super cool and I am so proud of her.
Badges for the beaver!
Lastly, it was really really nice meeting the TK girls again. I haven't seen some of them in more than a year!
Okay, deep breaths. It's gonna be a long night tonight. And a really really long filming day tomorrow before a last concert to mark the end of a really awesome recess week. :(
